Fun fact: In the 19th century, eucalyptus trees were called "fever trees," because they destroyed the breeding ground of the malaria mosquito. The tree grows fast, and uses up large amounts of water, thus large amounts of the trees can turn swamp into usable land - and also rid the area of mosquitos in the process.
Centuries ago, the eucalyptus tree was thought to cleanse the environment, so the frail and sickly would choose to live in areas where these fragrant trees grew, hoping for recovery from their ailments. While just living under the trees might not be the cure people hoped for, the tree does indeed offer healing. The Australian Aborigines applied crushed eucalyptus leaves to wounds to promote healing. They also used eucalyptus leaves to fight infection and relieve muscular pain. In India, eucalyptus is used to cool fever and fight contagious diseases. Even Western surgeons recognized the benefits of eucalyptus, and have used a eucalyptus solution to wash out operation cavities. Today, eucalyptus is used in many different types of pharmaceutical products, from vapor rubs to cold remedies. Even veterinarians and dentists use eucalyptus in their practices. Its sweet, menthol, woody scent coupled with its proven healing abilities makes it a favorite essential oil in aromatherapy.

this stuff works well on mosquitoes. I got West Nile and I've tried all kinds of repellents and eucalyptus oil works well, also handy for window sash application to keep bugs out of the house.It's kind of pricey, but worth it.

Excellent product and great value. Yhis liquid herb I cannot live without, it is good for every thing from nasal congestion, room freshener, to the rinse cycle in the washer it kills any bed bugs, mites and more, it is also good for sterilization and much more... I love the fact that it is full strenght.

I am 68 years old. My dad used eucalyptus oil on his neck, after advised by an old Indian doctor that if he did so he would not have to have his tonsils removed. He passed away at 91 with his tonsils intact. I have reommended this for years and my son has taken some to Iraq on his two tours there. Thanks for this product.

This product is absolutely wonderful. I use it in all my cool mist humidifiers in my house and it kills all the bacteria in the air. We are never sick in our house.
Would recommend it for people that have little ones. I have a 5 month old and I have used it since she came home from the hospital and she has never been congested!!
Normally my husband snores at night but since we have been running this through our house rather thick; he doesn’t snore as much anymore. What a relief for me!!
It is good to use behind the ears as well on the temples to help clear up congestion, sore throat or even a headache.
