Likely Users:
Aromatherapy users
Key Ingredients(s):
100% essential oil of Frankincense (Boswellia carterii, also known as Olibanum)
Main Product Features:
Frankincense essential oil is produced from the gum of a shrub that grows in the Arabian peninsula and Somalia. Cuts on the bark yield a milky liquid that hardens into yellow droplets of resin known as “tears”. These tears are used in making incense, flavors and perfumes. The pure essential oil is produced from the resinous tears using ONLY a steam distillation process. This oil has a color range from nearly clear to pale yellow. The aroma is known to be balsamic and citrine. No solvents or alcohol are used to produce this pure essential oil, nor it has not been concentrated.
Other Important Issues:
This is not the Resin Absolute form of oil that is made from the resin by making an alcohol or solvent extract, then filtering and vacuum concentrating the extract. Resin Absolute has a light amber color, which distinguishes it from the 100% pure essential oil that is either very pale to pale yellow in color.
Amount To Use:
Varies with the type of aromatherapy use desired
Complementary Products:
Can be blended with other pure essential oils
