Directions: Breathe normally through inhaler mouthpiece and exhale through the nose. DO NOT breath into the inhaler mouthpiece. When cleansing process starts, you may experience coughing, sneezing and phlegm mucus expectoration. You may also taste salt in your mouth and throat, but these conditions will disappear with regular use. Recommended usage is 15-25 minutes per day, but as the individual gets accustomed to the cleansing effects, that may be increased. Care & Precautions: Each inhaler should be used by only one individual. Do not share inhaler. Do not use inhaler if chipped, cracked or broken in any area. If salt becomes moist or wet, do not use inhaler. (see salt replacement instructions.) Always store inhaler in a dry place when not in use. If experiencing dry lips while using inhaler, apply lip balm or Vaseline before use. Wipe inhaler tip with a damp cloth after each use. While the Himalayan Salt Inhaler™ is completely safe for small children, we do not recommend unsupervised use for those under 8 years of age. Salt Replacement: Although the salt will last 3-5 years with daily use, if the salt becomes wet or moist, it must be replaced before using the inhaler. DO NOT use regular table salt, sea salt or Epsom salts. To replace salt, remove silicone plug from bottom of inhaler and allow salt to empty through opening. Shaking or flushing inhaler with water may be necessary to remove all salt. If the salt in chamber is wet or extremely moist, it may be necessary to use a hair dryer to completely dry the inside of the salt chamber. The salt chamber must be completely dry before replacing salt.
