The Fit & Fresh LivPURE™ Filter technology uses a two stage filtration process.
Stage One:
The water passes through a Granular Activated Carbon filter media, which works like a sponge, removing up to 50% of chlorine from up to 75 gallons of water (about 500 refills), virtually eliminating chlorine taste.
Stage Two:
The second stage uses a bacteriostatic compound to inhibit the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria within the filter. Once a typical filter is exposed to water, bacteria are introduced to the system through air, contaminated surfaces and the act of drinking itself. These bacteria can then grow at a very fast rate. But the Fit & Fresh LivPURE™ Filter offers anti-microbial protection against this.
