Nutiva's unrefined cold-pressed, extra-virgin Canadian organic hemp oil is light green, with a delicious nutty flavor. We use primarily a special hempseed variety called Fin314 which has been bred for nutrition and culinary taste. Many other hemp oils offered use seed bred for strong fiber, with taste and nutrient balance not a priority in their breeding. Thus Nutiva's hemp oil is lighter in flavor and has 40% more GLA content compared to other brands.

Please Note: The manufacturer indicates that the amount of active ingredients in the oil is so low, a few bottles may have to be consumed to test positive on a drug test. Nevertheless, please do not consume Hemp Seed Oil if your workplace requires periodical drug testing or if you undergo recurrent drug testing.
Using nitrogen, we press and bottle our oil in small batches. We then transport it to California by refrigerated truck, which helps make it the freshest hemp oil available. It is best to keep hemp oil refrigerated and to use it within 8-12 weeks of opening.
