Vitamin D 2,000 IU

NOW® Vitamin D softgels supply this key vitamin in a highly-absorbable liquid softgel form. Vitamin D is normally obtained from the diet or produced by the skin from the ultraviolet energy of the sun. However, it is not abundant in food. As more people avoid sun exposure, Vitamin D supplementation becomes even more necessary to ensure that your body receives an adequate supply.

Having been diagnosed with a severe Vit. D deficiency, I was fist prescribed a high dosage softgel, taken once a week. And it worked great, but wore off quickly. My physician and I discussed taking a smaller dose daily, and that was when I found NOW 2000 IU softgels. They work exactly like the pharmaceutical grade supplement I was taking, plus I can adjust the dose as the daylight grows dimmer. Current medicine is finally catching up to the fact that our bodies need more than the FDA recommended 400 IU daily. I would encourage anyone who has chronic pain, severe fatigue or a family history of RA to get a proper Vit D test done. (make sure it is for the D-3 level) I have purchased tablets before and they do not metabolize the same as the softgels. 45 minutes, they are in your system. This is an excellent product that has kept my D-level up in the healthy range and definitely improved the quality of my life.Anne
