PeakImmune4™ is a dietary supplement which contains 250mg of Rice Bran Arabinoxylan Compound (RBAC) which has been scientifically shown to support the immune system, especially NK cell activity. Although Rice Bran Arabinoxylan Compound (RBAC), the main component to optimize the immune system, is contained in common grain (rice, wheat, corn, etc), it cannot be assimilated in our stomach because of its large molecular size. Except for the few boxes still on the shelf, BioBran is no longer available for sale in the USA. Also Daiwa has dropped the price so PeakImmune4 is much cheaper than BioBran ever was. Excerpts from an email sent to us by a representative of Daiwa Health Development... I understand the customers concern. The only difference between the two is the excipients used. BioBran is a tablet and PeakImmune4 is a capsule. A vegetable gelatin is used to make the capsule and this is the reason for the slight difference in calories as stated on the label. Some background information may help: Daiwa Pharmaceutical manufactures the active referred to as either BioBran or BioBran MGN-3. The active is an Arabinoxylan compound derived from rice bran. Daiwa also makes supplements from the active that are sold in Asia under the names, BioBran MGN-3, BioBran 250 and BioBran 1000. The different brand names are used in different Asian countries. Daiwa allowed BioBran supplements to be sold in the US from two sources. One form was a supplement originally made by Daiwa for sale in Asia. This was sold by a broker to stores primarily located in the Midwest. The other source of Biobran was from Daiwa's distributor in Europe. Several months before PeakImmune4 was introduced supply from both sources stopped. We can supply a letter certifying that Daiwa Health Development is a subsidiary of the manufacturer of BioBran and BioBran is the active in PeakImmune4 and a Certificate of Analysis on our raw material, BioBran, from Daiwa Pharmaceutical.
