Xylitol is naturally occurring sweetener derived from various types of cellulose obtained form cane pulp, seed hulls and shells. It resembles sugar in consistency and taste, but has a third fewer calories and is great sugar alternative for diabetics. Xylitol may also inhibit cavities by denying plaque bacteria the fuel (sugar) it needs to erode tooth enamel. It can be used as a sugar substitute in most sugar-free recipes.

This is an excellent sugar substitute. I use it just like sugar in drinks, cooking and baking. Enjoy the real sugar taste without affecting blood sugar or ruining your diet!
