What’s New in ACFT 4.0?

The biggest change in Army Combat Fitness Test 4.0 is the addition of a new event: the throw and drag. This event is designed to test your strength, agility, and endurance. This new event replaces the push-up/sit-up event from the ACFT 3.6.

The new ACFT is also designed to be taken on standardized equipment and inside a gymnasium, so there’s no need to scramble to find a place to do it outside if you live in a city.

The ACFT 4.0 is scored differently from the 3.6, so you may get a different score even if you’re at the same score level on both tests. However, passing the ACFT 4.0 is the same as passing the PAST test, although it carries more weight in modern physical fitness tests run by the military.

What is a Good ACFT Score in 2022?

What are the New ACFT Standards?

The Toughest Test You’ll Ever Take

The new PAST test is the toughest physical test you’ll ever take. No need to be discouraged though. It means you’ll need what it takes to become a high-class soldier. The goal of the ACFT 4.0 is to test every aspect of fitness that a soldier needs to excel in combat. The test takes about 60 minutes to complete and includes six events that are used to score you on a 1–100 scale.

Your overall score is used to place you in a fitness category. These categories are used to track fitness and identify trends in the health of soldiers. The Army uses these categories to create better fitness standards, identify injury trends, and plan better fitness programs. As you can see, the PAST test is a lot more than just a physical challenge. It’s a chance for you to show your commanders just how to fit you are and demonstrate your potential as a soldier.

How is ACFT 4.0 Different from ACFT 3.6?

The first thing you’ll notice about this new test is that it’s much shorter than the ACFT 3.6. The ACFT 4.0 is a 60-minute test, while the ACFT 3.6 takes about two hours to complete. This is because the new ACFT includes a new event: the throw and drag, which replaces the push-up/sit-up event from the ACFT 3.6.

There are also some changes to the types of exercises you’ll do in each event. The new ACFT is scored differently from the ACFT 3.6, too. On the ACFT 4.0, the best way to get a top score is to earn a 100 on each event. You’ll get a lower score if you don’t complete an event. On ACFT 3.6, you have to get a “GO” on each event to pass. You will not get a score for each event on the new ACFT.

Is the ACFT 3.0 Gender-Neutral?
